Picture Products – Fundraising – (PAG) – August 2020

The original melamine Pictureplate

Turn children’s artworks, photos, hand and footprints into something they’ll treasure for ever. Strong enough to use every day, they provide a lasting memory of childhood.

Made of durable BPA-free food-safe melamine, it’s dishwasher safe and covered by a 40 year quality guarantee. 25cm diameter.

It’s a simple concept—a child’s own drawing made into their very own melamine dinner plate—and it’s something they’ll keep forever. Pictureproducts makes it easy to run a meaningful project that raises funds for your school while turning happy memories into treasured keepsakes.

2020 – New Playground Design

Our new playground design is tailored around children’s abilities while providing opportunities for a range of play experiences to create a sense of wonder and different ways children can use their bodies whilst incorporating the nature of our site.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19, this has been postponed and hopefully completed for the start of the kinder year in 2021.

Comedy Night

Due to the success of the Bogan Bingo night last year, which was organised in association with the Oak Park Primary School, we are co-hosting a Comedy Night on Saturday 1st August, from 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Bob Franklin is the headlining comedian, tickets will be $25 and it is BYO food and drinks. This is not a fundraiser, but a social event, to allow kinder and school parents a chance to catch up and relax, with a few laughs and/or drinks. Book the babysitter now!

Kinder rated as Exceeding National Quality Standard

The kinder was recently assessed by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), as part of the National Quality Framework governing early learning and care services, which was established in 2012. Out of seven quality areas, with each one individually rated, we got an overall rating of Exceeding National Quality Standard!

This is an excellent result and a good reward for the kinder’s hard work, particularly that of our dedicated teaching staff.

A Day in May

The kinder once again participated in A Day in May, an initiative of Challenge, to fund positive musical experiences for young cancer patients in order to give them a break from treatment. Our kinder students wore yellow and contributed a gold coin, raising over $100 for this great campaign.

Sausage sizzle a great success!

Thanks to Kim and her family and all Committee members who helped out at our sausage sizzle at Bunnings Broadmeadows on Saturday 7th March. It was a great success and we raised over $1,100 for the Kinder. Thanks also to all the kinder families who came along to support us on the day!
